By using Starfoundry you agree to these terms. They are short because the service is simple: a free game you play in a browser.
The service
Starfoundry is provided free of charge and as-is. We try to keep it running and to keep your saved games safe, but we do not guarantee that the service will be available, or that a saved game will survive. Keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose — the game can export a save to a file.
Your account
An account is optional. You are responsible for the Google account you sign in with. We may suspend or remove an account that is being used to attack the service, to harass anyone, or to break the law.
Fair use
Please do not:
- attempt to break into, overload or disrupt the service;
- automate account creation, or create accounts to evade a suspension;
- use the service to store or distribute anything unlawful.
Advertising
The site carries advertising. We do not control the content of individual adverts; if you see one that is misleading or offensive, tell us and we will report it to the network.
Intellectual property
The game, its text, and its artwork belong to their authors. Third-party art and music used under licence is listed on the credits page. You may record and stream your play freely, including monetised video.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the service, including lost saved games. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
These terms may change. The date above will change with them, and significant changes will be noted on the news page.
