Essential versus optional
The session cookie is essential: without it, signing in cannot work, and it is only set if you choose to sign in. Browser storage for saves is likewise the feature itself rather than tracking — it never leaves your machine.
Advertising cookies are optional. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland they are not set unless you agree, and you can change your mind at any time.
Change your choice
This opens the consent tool. If nothing happens, your browser is blocking it — in which case no advertising cookies are being set either.
Blocking cookies yourself
Every major browser can block or delete cookies from its settings. Blocking them will not stop the game working; you will simply be signed out, and your guest saves will be removed if you clear storage as well.
